Bruach Cashmere Blog #2 Intarsia
Intarsia by hand is a traditional knitting technique which is applied by our artisans, practiced by few and mastered only by a handful, and unique to the Scottish Borders.
In-tars-ia is a work of dedication & skill. Argyle check is the most recognisable pattern to many, however, the technique give Bruach Cashmere opportunity to create traditional and contemporary designs using the skills of the finest knitting artisans here in Scotland.
The process is used to combine multiple colours to create intricate and complex patterns, crafted with excellence. Intarsia is used to create sublime cashmere wraps on the flat with bold colour ways and patterns.
All our garments are knitted and completed in the Scottish Borders.
